The main mission is to educate and train skilled experts in the latest advancements in biological, chemical and technological sciences. The focus is on modern methods for producing, evaluating, and processing food and biotechnology products.

 

The faculty emphasizes research in genomics, modern biotechnologies, food quality and safety, aiming to ensure the biological and technological integrity of the “agricultural product-to-food” system.

ENGINEERING STUDY PROGRAMMES OFFERED IN ENGLISH

SAFETY AND CONTROL

Graduates of the programme gain expertise in microbiological and chemical food safety from every angle, applying an integrated “farm-to-table and table-to-farm” approach. They manage food traceability, analyse data from rapid warning systems, oversee product recalls, develop and apply risk analysis systems using mathematical and predictive models, focusing on prevention to protect public health and ensure clear communication about food safety.

SUSTAINABILITY IN AGRICULTURE, FOOD PRODUCTION AND FOOD TECHNOLOGY IN THE DANUBE REGION

Graduates of the programme are equipped to tackle challenges in sustainable agriculture and food production. With a focus on issues like microbiological contamination, aiming to produce safe and high-quality food, gain knowledge of food chemistry for research and work in the food industry.

 

They can lead teams in sustainable agriculture and food safety, manage food traceability, handle crisis situations, oversee internal control systems in companies, ensure proper food labelling and compliance with legislation, while also providing practical recommendations for healthy nutrition and dietary advice.

 

As innovative professionals, they confidently present their analyses to expert audiences, manage food sampling for analytical testing, and apply risk assessments to maintain food safety systems, including ISO 22000 standards.
