EUROPEAN STUDIES
AND REGIONAL
DEVELOPMENT
Faculty focuses on European Union policies, regional development, rural development and rural tourism with emphasis on international cooperation.
Engineering students get to complete the International Master of Rural Development program, which awards the title Master of Science (MSc.) and a diploma from the university consortium. This includes studying at universities in Ghent (BE), Berlin (DE), Córdoba (ES), Rennes (FR), and Pisa (IT), offering students international knowledge, practical experience and cultural exchange.
The faculty is also home to the “Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence” and has received the EU Jean Monnet plaque for its high-quality education in European integration.
REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND POLICIES OF THE EU
The programme covers public administration laws in Slovakia and the EU, problem analysis methods and decision-making techniques. Graduates are skilled socio-economic planners who understand institutional cooperation and economic relationships at all levels and are familiar with international grant schemes and project design.

ENGINEERING STUDY PROGRAMMES OFFERED IN ENGLISH
Graduates are able to solve complex social issues at local, regional, state and EU levels. They can define and apply regional development strategies, make independent decisions and work as a manager or expert in regional development and public administration. They are skilled in communication and working with the public.
