ENGINEERING

This faculty trains experts in landscaping and horticulture, focusing on landscape engineering, architecture, horticultural production and technology. It addresses global challenges and educational trends, preparing graduates to design landscape architecture, apply geographic information systems, manage water, waste and develop horticultural technologies in areas like fruit, vegetable, flower growing and viticulture.

ENGINEERING STUDY PROGRAMMES OFFERED IN ENGLISH

INTERNATIONAL MASTER OF HORTICULTURE SCIENCE

The International Master of Horticulture Science (IMHS) is an accredited joint program between the faculties of SUA in Nitra, the University of Agriculture in Krakow and Mendel University in Brno.

 

Graduates earn the Master of Science (MSc.) title and receive diplomas from all three universities. The program provides in-depth knowledge of horticultural production, including new cultivation technologies in vegetable growing, floriculture, fruit growing, and viticulture, with a focus on quality and post-harvest processing.

  • as a specialist in all forms of horticultural production and subsequent processing units
  • in marketing, trade, research, breeding or in the testing rooms of the Central Control Testing Institute of Agriculture
  • as a manager of horticultural centres, greenhouses
  • as a designer of orchards, vineyards and nurseries
  • as the main cellar technologist in small, medium and large wineries
  • as a consultant for horticultural production or fruit orchards, vineyards, cellar farming, vegetable plantations, fruit and viticulture nurseries
  • in the private sector, in education, in state administration
  • or continue studies at the 3rd level of university education
